SSAL is a contemporary Korean restaurant in Russian Hill, San Francisco.
Created by husband and wife team, Hyunyoung and Chef Junsoo Bae, SSAL serves a Korean-inspired multi-course menu in a dining room with views of the open kitchen. The menu is curated on a daily basis with items such as Red Royal Shrimp with Forbidden Rice, and Amberjack with Korean seaweed and smoked pepper.

SSAL Family Membership

A family membership means you have a personal relationship with us and our team. As a member you will have access to:
  • A text-based concierge that is a direct line to the restaurant for reservations and special requests.
  • A personal house account. House accounts are automatically credited with $800 every six months of membership. You can use your house account to handle payments seamlessly and privately. Any credits you don't use in a period will roll over and be available to you for the duration of your membership.
  • 10% off menus and wine pairings as well as a reduced corkage fee of $50.
  • Access to members-only events.
  • Abbreviated dining experiences upon request for a more casual and quick evening.
  • Other perks when you dine.
Family membership is $800 every six months.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does my house account work?
Every SSAL Family member will receive a personal house account. When you let our staff know that you're a member either through leaving a note on your reservation, texting your dedicated concierge line ahead of your visit, or telling us when you check in, you will have the option to pay for your meal with your house account.
$800 in credits are added to your house account every 6 months of membership. If your meal happens to cost more than the amount of credits you have remaining, the difference will be charged to your payment method on file automatically. Your house account can be used in any situation to handle payments effortlessly and privately.
You will still get a receipt for your meal, but you will be able to skip settling the bill using your credit card on premise. Please note a 20% gratuity is automatically added to dining purchases made through your house account.
Any credits you do not use will be rolled over as long as you hold an active membership.
Can I still use my house account if I want to split the bill?
Yes! Just let our staff know that you would like to split your bill and have your portion paid for using your house account. We'll be able to take care of that for you.
How can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time by visiting the My Membership section of your Member Portal.
If you choose to cancel your membership, you will still have access to member benefits and your house account until the end of the current 3-month billing period. Please plan to use any remaining credits during this time because any unused credits after your final billing period will no longer be accessible.
Do my credits roll over?
Yes, your balance will roll over and does not expire as long as you hold an active membership.
